Born in the hills of Blue
Mountain, Alabama. During his tenure in the armed forces, Richard was a drill
instructor, training over 10,000 young men and women. He served in both the
Southeast Asia and European Theaters. Richard received his B.S. in Education
from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, after his retirement from the
military.
The Author
wrote the beginning of this novel more than
fifteen years before the body of the novel. He
was finally encouraged to finish the story. Wilmer
Hall is written from the perspective of a boy who
grew up from the age of nine to seventeen in a south
Alabama orphanage during the 1950's Adventure,
friendship, humor, suspense, young love, tragedy
and, eventually, victory are on the route for young
Randy’s life...
